The Winston-Salem Street School is a private alternative high school based on Christian principles and dedicated to providing students with the opportunity to complete their high school education.  At-risk youth are provided an opportunity to learn and grow in a small environment which reflects and demonstrates the love of Christ.

Faculty and staff are dedicated to the mission of surrounding students with caring, committed adults who will help students:

Achieve their highest academic level
Find and use information
Get along with others
Know themselves and their God
Learn independently
Solve problems
Think independently
Work hard

The Winston-Salem Street School is transforming the disenfranchised youth of the community into productive citizens. The students being served include those who have dropped out or been expelled from the public high school system in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County.

Approximately 800 students drop out of the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Public Schools each year and that number is rising.The Winston-Salem Street School was specifically created to target these students. By doing so, it is playing a critical role in resolving this very real community problem.

The school is recognized by the North Carolina Division of Non-Public Education.
